Introduction:
Some years ago it was said that teenage is the best part of a person's life . In this age we learn a number of things and experiences lots of new adventures . Everything is so fascinating in this age . But if I talk about recent scenario being a teenager is not so easy . Everyday we had to face a lots of issues too . There are lots of changes taken place in a teenage body as well as in our brain that can affect how you learn, think and behave . If you are facing tough or stressful situations it is normal to have mood swings or emotional ups and downs . Those days were gone when teenagers dreams about fairy tales and superheroes . Now I can clearly said that teenage is the age of stress, mental disturbance , competition, peer pressure , anxiety and depression. Depression
Mood swings are normal in teenage but if you have been overwhelming or sad for a long time ( ie. a few weeks or months) that you can't able to concentrate or do things that you usually enjoy that means you are depressed.
You really need someone around you to talk .
Symptoms of teenage depression
There are some signs through which you can identify that you are depressed .
Physical changes :
• Headache , stomachache ,low back pain
• Memory loss
• Tiredness and loss of energy
• insomnia and sleeping too much
• changes in appetite
• use of alcohol and drugs
• restlessness or unable of sit still
• slowed thinking , speaking or body movements
• social isolation
• poor school performance
• awaking at night
Emotional changes:
*Feeling of sadness
*Frustration and anger even on small matters
*Irritation and annoyed mood

There may be multiple reasons due to which a teenage get depressed . It may either social , personal or professional reasons.

How to cure depression ?
Take steps to control stress -
Stress is the main cause to someone being depressed . Just put aside all your heavy baggage of stress and try to think less.
Reach out for friendship and social support -
During depression it is very must to take support of friends and to be socially active .Talk with your friends and memorise your childhood memories .
Try to be happy -
Do all the activities that makes you to forgot all your pains and sress.whether they are your childhood memories or hobbies just meet with yourself .you can enjoy by visiting any place , reading some books , cooking , watching movies , hangouts with family and friends . Just remember one thing that you had to be happy .
Surrounded with people -
When you are depressed you had a feeling of loneliness all around. So just try to be crowded with people especially your loved ones or near and dear .
Family support -
Family is much closest to us than anyone else . So discuss with you parents and seek support. Remember one thing parents never think wrong about their child . They love you so much that nobody in that world can do . It might be possible that being a teenager you had some conflicts with them but they are not your wrong thinkers . They always love you whether you are good or bad for others.
Get treatment -
Sometimes it is not possible to cure depression just by home treatments . You need to seek treatment and therapies to overcome that .
Seek medical help -
Don't waste too much time .consult with a psychiatrist at early stage before it's too late
Volunteer work -
Helping someone else whose problems are greater than one's own give perspective and opportunity to be helpful . It may give meaning and purpose to your life.
Physical exercise -
Love yourself and develop a good hygiene. Exercise daily and do meditation therapy . It will definitely help you to relax your mind and soul.
Love your work -
Divert your mind from all such issues that makes you worried and its best way to make yourself busy in your work or studies.
Mind divert -
Do everything that makes you to forgot sadness and loneliness .
When to call emergency help?
Sometimes situation may too worse that it might be uncontrollable . If someone had try to attempt suicide then you had to take care of following measures:
Don't let him/her alone. Make sure someone stays with that person.
Seek medical help as early as possible .
Call mental health professional.
Remember .......
Having depression doesn't mean that person is weak or failure or not really trying . It means they need treatment . They are very strong enough .
Don't wait that symptoms will go away on their own.
Parents need to recognise when their teens is distressed. They must careful and not to disregard or mistakenly assume that these are due to physical changes associated with teenage.
