Leaving Home By Teenagers

Introduction:

Leaving home is now become a part of teenage dream. Many teenagers think about leaving home but the reality can often be much harder than they imagine. When we enter in teenage we observe lots of things and experiences new feelings. But there is also a fact we don't like to have any disruption in our life from our parents or anyone else. Teenagers want privacy in their life . That's why they tends to desire to live solely or far from their families. Doing so is wrong for some parents and some are in favor of it . I personally thought that it's not wrong if you are not minor or crossed age of 18 year and you are able to bear all the responsibilities of yours. But if you are not in the position to handle all your responsibilities and duties then don't ever think to left your home. Because there is no better place other than home . It's your home and parents under whose roof we feel protected , secured and away from all the troubles of bitter life. But the bitter fact of today is that home is now seen as a place to leave rather a place live by our young generation.

Legal provisions:

As per law  any teenager may leave their home only after the age of majority that is after crossing 18 years of age . The reason behind that is according to law if teen is minor or under the age of 18 then he/she is not so mature to understand anyone s bad intentions and also not in the position to bear his responsibilities. That's why such a provision is came into force.

Why do teenagers left their home?

There are so many reasons due to which teenagers thought to leave their home. They may be personal, social, academics or mental. Such as :

• Desire of being independent.

• seeking privacy in their life without anyone's interruption.

• For further studies.

• For better job opportunities.

• Need to live closer to their place of work or studies and to avoid daily up-down from one place to another.

• Escaping from conflicts at home.

• Being asked to leave by their parents.

• wishing to live with their partner to avoid long distance relationship or wishing to be in live in relationship.

• Due to immature attitude.

How children and parents feel when their teen move out from their home?

Leaving home where he had grown up is not itself so easy for teen and also for his parents. It's normal to face a range of emotions and feelings when their children move out of home. They can face such issues:

Sense of worriedness-

It's obvious for parents to being worried when their children leave home . Because they love their children so much that they can't see him in any trouble. They used to worry by thinking that how their teen can be able to manage all the things .whether he is okay or not . And teen also feel such sense because now he had to manage all his work himself there is nobody with him . So he also feel worried by thinking so .

Resistant-

You may not allow your children to move out unless they are married or have any safer place to live . So it gives feeling of resistant to the children.

Embarrassment from society-

When children left their home society blames his parents by commenting that they are not able to take care his children and not given good ethics to him . That's why he left their parents . So it gives a sense of being so  shameless for parents who live in that society.

Feeling of sadness-

Some parents feel very sad and loneliness when their children left him and move to other places . They tends to miss him always. Because it's not easy for any parents to live apart from their children no matter how much they are strong.

Before providing these points I want to give you some personal suggestions. Look if you are thinking to leave your home without your parents concern then sorry my dear friends you are thinking very very wrong . And in that thought not only my blog but even the blog of any body else can't help you. I'm not say idea to leave your home is wrong I m just saying if you are not involving your parents in that then you are definitely wrong . I understand everyone's problems are different  but according to you whether your parents are strict or liberal , good or bad . These things doesn't matter the only thing that matters is that they are your parents who always take care of you, always stand behind you , always fulfilled all your stupid wishes. They can't think wrong about you. So make sure to take suggestion and support of them . So here are some tips if you are thinking to leave your home -

*How to manage money?

Money is today's superior need . If we go any part of the world we need money to survive . If you don't have required or sufficient amount of money then don't think to left  your home . Because if you will leave home you are solely responsible to pay all your bills such as electricity bills, house rent ,water supply bills and the most important bills of food and grocery purchase. That's why in order to survive outside you must have money or ability to pay bills yourself.

*How to cook?

Cooking is a skill that everyone must to know . Because its a point of hunger and you can't survive if you are hungry . If you don't know cooking and you have all the groceries and money even then you can't survive . Now you will said that you will have dinner in some restaurant but my friend you can't do so every time and it may also possible that restaurant aren't in your reach. So its obvious to learn cooking no matter you are a girl or boy.

*How to find a job?

 If you have enough money but you don't have any job even then you can't be able to survive because your money will end up on some day . So in order to run your livelihood and to pay bills it's obvious that you must have some job and for that you should have relevant skills . But in case if you are not so much educated and also don't have required skills for any job even then you can't thought of being independent . So you should have relevant Skills in order to find a suitable job.

*How to talk to strangers?

If you don't know how to deal with strangers even then you can't able to live far from your home. Because any body can easily misguide you and able to make you fool . It may also possible that he may take advantage of your immaturity . So you should also needed to have skills to deal with such type of guys and don't rely so easily on anybody. You had to learn that you are no more in protection of your parents and everybody is roaming to take advantage of you outside. So learn to be smart and clever firstly.

*Where to live?

It's very important that you should make proper arrangement about your new residential place before you leave your own house . So just envolve your parents in all these things. They will definitely give you right advice and help you in their best possible way.

*How to use a map or GPS?

It may possible that sometime you forgot that where you are or can't able to find any place where you want to go . So you must learn to use map whether Physical or in mobile GPS.

*How to take stand for himself?

When you go outside you don't have someone to take stand for you. you had to take stand by yourself . So get prepared for that. Because there is a strong competition outside and everybody will try to pull you back . So you had to face all the Chaos.

*How to wash clothes, dishes and other household works?

You must also learn to do all the household works by yourself because there is not any certainty of bad situations . Any thing may happen .

*How to spend wisely?

If you are spending rashly and don't try to save then it will definitely disturb your future budget. If you are not saving any single penny for your future then it is meaningless that how much you earn in present. So you should also learn to make budget and have control on each irrelevant spending.

*How to drive?

It is one of the most important step of being independent. Because it is said that when you can't able to drive for yourself then how can you manage all other works. So firstly learn to drive for yourself . And you can also generate income by it if you don't have any job.

*How to protect yourself?

You should also learn self defense . Because it may possible that you could be harmed by someone so you had to prepare yourself for it in advance. Because you are yours topmost priority. If you couldn't protect yourself then how will you survive solely.

*What are the government norms?

You should also have clear cut understanding of legal provisions of the country or place where you are planning to live such as license, certificate or other documents . If you don't know it then you may also face some issues while living there .

*How to do basic first aid?

It is very much needed that you must know to cure any injury or do first-aid. Because it may quite be possible that you or any other person may get hurted . So that skill shall be known by everybody.

Tips for parents when their teen wants to leave home:

1. Try to solve reasons due to which he want to left home -

It is the foremost step that parents should do when idea to leave their home came into their teens mind . Just make a deep communication with him in that regard and ask him why he want to do this . If his reason is genuine and you also believe that he is right upto some extent then support him in that thought . But if his reason is so childish or he is doing so by anybody's instinctiveness. Then solve his issue as soon as possible . Because teens mind is  immature upto some extent then it may possible that they will take some wrong stop.

2. Don't force him to abide with your decision-

Look when he had made a strong thought that he want to leave home then if you stop him physically then it will definitely make him far from you mentally. He will never trust you again in future . So handle him with patience and love. Because you n only you can stop him doing so but not in forceful and strict manner.

3. Talk to someone :

If your child is not ready to listen you in any manner you may also take help of any third person . Make him to  communicate with someone whom he trust and listen. He can be his best friend, any relative or any professional.

4. Offer practical help:

You can also offer him some practical help if he had made a strong determination to do so .You can help him in finding new residential, making budget , shifting all the luggage, and other you think possible. It will give him positive vibes from your side and make him more closer to you.

5. Make future communications open:

You had to make him believe that your house is his house and it will always open for him. Invite him to spend family weekends and other festivals. Make him realize that you are always with him .
